The Irrigation Department anounces that there is a risk of overflowing six rives across the island.
According to the data of the Department of Meteorology, it is in the areas where heavy rains may occur.
Accordingly, the Departmemt of Irrigation says that there is a risk of flooding in some ares of the Attanagalu Oya, Kalu , Kelani, Ging, Nilwala and, Mahaweli river basins.
Therefore, the people living in those basins are requested by the Irrigation Department to be aware of the flood situation that may occur in the next few days from Yesterday (30) night.
