Underperforming CR and FC will battle it out with the firm favourites Air Force Sports Club in their Nippon Paint Inter-Club ‘A’ Division League Rugby tournament second-round Plate match at the Air Force grounds in Ratmalana, starting at 4.15 pm today.
At present CR and FC is having one of their disastrous seasons ever in the ongoing league rugby tournament. After holding Army SC to a (16-16) draw and winning their only game against CH and FC (27-22), CR have lost five games to Navy SC (13-18), Air Force SC (11-19), Kandy SC (26-45), Police SC (03-20) and was also thrashed by Havelock SC (03-53); thus placed last (eighth) in the ongoing league rugby tournament.
Going by the team cards Air Force is having a huge advantage over the inexperienced underperforming CR and FC side, but they are going into this game as the underdogs, hence on their day CR can taste victory by toppling any side.
