The Aluth Sahal Mangalya which is one of the four great festivals of Sri Dalada Palace in Kandy took place yesterday (06) according to the ancient rituals with the participation of the Anunayake of Asgiriya chapter Most Ven Wedaruve Upali and Diyawadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela.
The first harvest from the paddy fields belonging to the Sri Dalada Maligawa is first brought to the Maligawa and offered to the Sri Dalada Maligawa every year on Duruthu Full Moon Day in accordance with the rituals that have been in place since the reign of the kings.
