Chinese State Councillor and Defence Minister General Wei Fenghe will arrive in Sri Lanka today on a two day official visit, the Government Information Department confirmed yesterday.
He will hold bilateral discussions with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and senior officials. This will be the second-highest visit by a Chinese official following senior Chinese diplomat, Yang Jiechi’s visit in October.
The visit is arranged under the air-bubble concept due to COVID-19.
