Nine Deputy Director Generals (DDGs) of Health Services have been appointed to all Provinces by Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi to coordinate the COVID-19 prevention programme. Health Ministry sources said they have been assigned to monitor the COVID prevention programme in each province and to take necessary measures to provide all the facilities required for the prevention of the spread of the virus and also to treat COVID-19 positive patients.
