A deranged drug addict threw his sister’s one-and-a-half-year-old child out of the window of a house on the third floor of the Samagipura housing complex in Grandpass. The suspect has told the police that a person appeared in front of him all of sudden and ordered him to throw the child out of the window.
“Someone appeared and told me to throw away the child and that’s why I threw the child,” the suspect said during police interrogation.
By the time he threw the sleeping child out of the window, the child’s father had gone to a shop at the ground floor of the apartment complex to bring breakfast for the children. The Grandpass Police stated that the mother had also stepped out of the house to meet her husband.
The police stated that three families had lived in this house and the murdered child had two elder brothers. The number of children living in that house is 11. The suspect who threw the child out of the window also lives in that house. Police say that he is married and his wife lives separately.
Police mentioned that the suspect was heavily addicted to Ice drugs and he had been treated at the Angoda Mental Hospital for mental problems caused by the drug.
