U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Ali Sabry P.C in Washington, DC, yesterday, December 2, to discuss about Srri Lanka’s debt restructuring process and the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Prior to his meeting with Sabry, Blinken told reporters that Sri Lanka and the United States had a nearly 75-year partnership.
According to Blinken, the United States has provided $240 million in assistance and loans, and both countries are working together to support not only economic stability but also political stability and progress.
