The retail prices of domestic gas cylinders, including 12.5 kg, could be raised between Rs. 500 and Rs. 750, a senior official of Litro Gas Lanka Ltd said.
He said the price of a 5 kg cylinder and a 2.3 kg cylinder will be increased accordingly.
He said that the price revision would take effect on February 5, and the decision will have to be made with the price increase in the global market.
The 12.5 kg domestic LITRO gas cylinders were reduced by Rs. 201, and the current retail price is Rs. 4,409. The 5 kg gas cylinder is reduced by Rs.80 and the retail price is Rs.1,870.
The 2.3 kg cylinder was reduced by Rs. 38 and the current price will be Rs.822.
