Despite the island-wide travel restrictions will be lifted for limited period next Tuesday, all licensed liquor sales outlets should be kept closed on May 25 as well, the Excise Department said.
Excise Dept. Spokesman Kapila Kumarasingha said that Commissioner General of Excise has ordered closure of all liquor sales outlets in order to control the Covid-19 outbreak.
The island-wide travel restrictions which is currently in place would be lifted at 4.00 am on Tuesday and will be re imposed at 11.00 pm on same day.
