The Police have announced that a suspect has been arrested for trespassing and setting fire to the private residence of President Ranil Wickramasinghe.
The incident was happened on 9th of last July during the vioent and riotous situation in the country.
The related suspect was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department last night (29).
Arrested suspect is a 33 year old carpenter residing in Aranayaka, Galbokka area.
The concern suspect is scheduled to be produced before the Fort Magistrate’s Court today (30) and the Criminal Investigation Department is conducting further investigations.
