President Ranil Wickremesinghe has decided to give priority to solve the problems of the estate community and the Muslim community after attending to the problems of the people in the North. With the direct intervention of the President, steps are being taken to resolve many lingering problems of the people in the North with the support of the Tamil National Alliance MPs. The President’s decisions were based on the views expressed by the TNA MPs at an All Party Conference.
Sources from the President’s Office said the President intends to make similar interventions to resolve the problems of the estate community and the Muslim community with the participation of the Government and Opposition MPs, who represent those communities.
