An unbeaten half-century from Dhananjaya de Silva saw Sri Lanka to a six wicket win over Afghanistan in Brisbane a short while ago, keeping their hopes of progressing to the semi-final alive.

Chasing 145 to win, Sri Lanka reached the target in the 19th over, with de Silva finishing on a career best 66 off 42 balls.

Wanindu Hasaranga was named Man of the Match for his bowling figures of 3 for 13 in his four overs.
