‘The Newspaper’ Sinhala movie produced by Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardane and co-directed by veteran artistes Sarath Kothalawala and Kumara Thirimadura bagged the award for ‘Best Director’ at the 23rd Rainbow Film Festival held in London last week.
The 23rd Rainbow Film Festival was held from May 29 to June 5, 2022 across East London.
This is the second occasion where ‘The Newspaper’ film was appreciated at an international film festival.
The film won the ‘Best Movie’ award in the Asian Cinema Competition at the 2022 Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFFes) in March this year.
This is the fourth movie produced by Minister Dr. Gunawardane and co-produced by W.Premasiri and Ravindra Guruge.
