Three suspects arrested for assaulting SDIG of the western province Deshabandu Tennakoon and two other police officers The incident was happened at the Perahera Mawatha in Kollupitiya Police Domain on 10th May.
The three suspects were arrested under the charges of unlawful obstruction, being a member of an unlawful crowd, curfew vioaltion, criminal correction and obstruction of duty.
Accoring to the police, the nabbed suspects are residents of Pitabeddara and Colombo who are 31, 51 and, 52 years of age. Colombo Crime Division is conducting further investigations into the incident.
