One of the five Supreme Court Judges, who was in the bench to consider a Fundamental Rights petition filed by the parents of a 20-day-old infant who succumbed to covid-19 while being treated at the Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital, has withdrawn from considering the petition today.
Supreme Court Judge Yasantha Kodagoda, a member of the panel, said he was withdrawing from the petition due to personal reasons.
Accordingly, the petition was adjourned for consideration till May 25.
