Starting today, a special program to identify traffic offenses in the Colombo area through CCTV cameras has been initiated, as announced by the police. This pilot project will run from the 22nd until the 31st of this month in Colombo city. Senior Superintendent of Police, Advocate Mr. Nihal Talduwa, mentioned that legal action will be taken against drivers found breaking traffic rules during this period.
