Public Security Minister Tiran Alles said that all the details with regard to the death of Janashakthi Group Director Dinesh Schaffter will be revealed to the public via the media within the next two weeks.
The Minister said that most of the investigations regarding Schaffter’s death have been completed and it is not possible to say whether it was a murder or a suicide at this time.
The Minister stated this while participating in the press conference held at the Ministry of Public Security in Battaramulla yesterday.
The Minister also said that the Police has been instructed to inform the Supreme Court after conducting a disciplinary inquiry against Senior DIG Nilantha Jayawardena, who is accused of not preventing the Easter attack.
In addition to this, the investigations regarding the money found in the President’s House on July 9 have been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department and once the CID report is issued, the truth will be known
