BIA launches Gold Route for premium passengers

Must read

International airports provide exclusive passenger services for their premium passengers, especially for High-Net-worth Individuals (HNWIs) who are looking for premium services at airports.

At present, Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) offers only the Silk Route Service facility for Commercially Important Passengers on a payment basis which does not target the HNWIs.

Therefore, with the objective of serving the travel needs of the aviation and tourism industry, Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited launched its newly established service product under the brand name ‘Gold Route’ to provide a ‘Premium Airport Experience’ for its valued passengers who travel through the BIA. Further, this new service will contribute to earning additional foreign currency for the country.

The unique feature of this service is that high-end passenger will be able to use an exclusive route to speed up the arrival and departure processes with a premium service experience.

At the Gold Route lounge, guests can experience a speedy check-in process including Customs, Immigration and Emigration, and all other formalities. The Gold Route service facility at BIA will be offered to passengers at US$ 200 (per arrival or departure) and the reservations could be made through www.airport.lk.

The new facility was opened at the BIA yesterday with the participation of Ports, Shipping and Aviation Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva, K.D.S. Ruwanchandra, the Secretary to the Ministry, Major General (Rtd.) G.A. Chandrasiri, Chairman, Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited, Dr. Ajith Mendis, Vice Chairman of Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited and P.A.
