The Department of National Zoological Gardens will offer free entrance for children below 12 years and elders above 60 years to its affiliated zoological gardens on October 1. This is in view of World Children’s and Elders’ Day which falls on October 1.
Accordingly, the children and elders will be able to enter the Dehiwala Zoo, Pinnawala Zoo, Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and the Ridiyagama Safari Park for free from 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on that day. Several programmes to coincide with World Children’s Day will also be conducted in these premises on October 1.
