Rural Roads and Other Infrastructure State Minister Nimal Lanza said that the Government has provided a good proposal regarding teachers’ salaries. Therefore, he urged teachers to accept it and resume children’s education.
State Minister Nimal Lanza was addressing the media in Colombo on October 15.
“The COVID pandemic deprived children of their education throughout the world. We should think more about the children first. Therefore, those who lead the protest should accept the proposal given by the Government and start teaching for the sake of the children,” he said.
“Developed countries have created a “sterling project” to see if they can fly around the world. The Stalinists here are trying to disrupt the education of children and drag them backwards,” the State Minister said.
State Minister Nimal Lanza said that he requested the teachers to accept the proposal and resume their duties.
