Interviews for the election of UNP Electoral Organisers are scheduled to begin on December 1.
These interviews will be held at Sirikotha party headquarters for the appointment of Electoral Organisers for next year.
Since thousands of applications have been received for the post of organisers, an interview panel chaired by UNP Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardene and General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara will select suitable organisers for the party.
Party Secretary General Range Bandara said that many leaders including United National Party Deputy Leader Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, UNP President Vajira Abeywardena, National Organiser Sagala Ratnayaka, Navin Dissanayake and Daya Gamage will be represented in this interview panel.
The organisers selected by the interview panel will be appointed for a period of one year from January 1. The General Secretary also said that if there are other people who are willing to apply and who have not been able to submit their applications so far, they too can make submissions.
