A tumour in the abdomen of a patient who was admitted to the Badulla General Hospital was successfully removed after a six-hour operation yesterday, Badulla General Hospital sources said yesterday. The surgery was done with the participation of the neurosurgeons of Badulla General Hospital, including Dr.Lakmal Hewage with a specialist oncologist and urologist.
Commenting on this neurosurgeon Dr.Lakmal Hewage said that this operation was performed to remove a tumour that had arisen in the abdomen of a 41-year-old man who was admitted to the hospital’s neurosurgery unit.
