Journalist Dinith Chinthaka Karunaratne has been appointed as the new Director General of the Government Information Department.
He replaces former Director-General Mohan Samaranayake who was appointed by former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
Journalist Dinith Chinthaka Karunaratne assumed duties as the Director General of the Government Information Department today.
He previously served as a member of a prominent local newspaper’s editorial board, while he has also worked as a media advisor to the President.
