President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has paid special attention to the recent proposals made by the Mahanayakas of the Tri-Sects and has taken steps to inform them in writing of the future steps to be taken in this regard.
The relevant letter was handed over by the Buddhasasana Ministry Secretary Prof. Kapila Gunawardena to the Mahanayaka Thera’s yesterday (24).
Following a joint decision taken by the Mahanayaka Thera’s of the Tri-Sects on April 4, they submitted to the President, a proposal containing measures to be taken to resolve the current crisis in the country.
