The Parliamentarian who said that there was no benefit from all the Governments that changed with each election for decades. “Only a NPP Government can bring the corrupt persons and thieves to book,” he said.

“Minister Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe told Parliament that although certain members of the SJB were shouting and asking for an election, they are in the habit of requesting the Government at night that the election should not be held,” Dissanayake said.

He said that not a single person from the SJB uttered a word on that occasion.

“The truth is that those who are shouting are doing so without any basis. They are aware of the fate that will befall them if an election is held. And that is why they are trying to prevent the election from being held,” he said.
