Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa emphasized that if everyone works together without being politically divided, the country can move forward from where it is today.
Pointing out that the country can achieve many victories if all rise together, he pointed out that Sri Lanka cannot continue this journey divided. Rajapaksa also said he will support every effort made by the government in that direction.
Rajapaksa stated this while participating in a public meeting held yesterday (16) morning in Nawalapitiya town.
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Kandy District Nawalapitiya Constituency organiser Member of Parliament Mahindananda Aluthgamage had organised the meeting.
Several prominent SLPP leaders and a large crowd was in attendance.
